EUV Technician

Position Summary
The EUV Technician is responsible for the technical assembly needs for Extreme Ultraviolet Light Source products. She/he will be responsible for manufacturing, assembly, and test of the company products. The primary product focus will be the EUV products. Secondary focus will be build and test of LDLS products as demand requires. The individual will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team in Woburn MA. The person will have exceptional customer support skills, enjoy strong interactions with team members from engineering, scientific, and manufacturing, and demonstrate the ability to utilize technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly and test of EUV sources, including vacuum components, cabling, and mechanical assembly.
  • Assist with custom test setups and experiments
  • Perform testing on products to ensure performance standards are met
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion. Immediately report schedule delays or quality problems to department manager.
  • Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical equipment. Skill-level requirements vary from basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to component replacement.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment.
  • Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments.
  • Will not let substandard product pass through production
  • Adhere to production test protocols and perform computerized record keeping
  • Utilize automated test processes and fixtures
  • Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
  • Good electromechanical assembly skills
  • Five to ten years experience including low volume, highly technical content manufacturing environment preferably with high vacuum hardware and practices.
  • Familiarity with basic electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, etc.)
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with Bills of Material and other manufacturing documentation
  • Able to quickly understand the technical complexities and requirements of the job.
  • Several years of directly related System Test, Quality Assurance or direct experience with products in an Assembly, QC or Product Support environment.
  • Working knowledge of tools including MS Word, MS Excel and other technical software
  • Impeccable attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • A willingness to take coaching & constructive feedback
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • A quality minded focus
  • Post-High School degree. Preferably an Associate or Technician degree
  • Excellent English communication skills
